What an amazing experience and privilege to lay hands on and send forth 24 graduates from the Asian Soul Winners School. These students are returning to their home villages and cities throughout northeast India and Nepal, most who will pioneer new works. Our first stop on this mission journey through Asia is the city of Dimapur in the state of Nagaland. This area is a unique enclave of Christianity with a rich history of revival dating back to the mid-nineteenth century. At that time American missionaries brought the message of the Gospel to primitive tribes-people known for their headhunting. Nagaland has continued as a stronghold where the Church of Jesus Christ flourishes and consistently sends out missionaries to surrounded people groups dominated by three different faiths (Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist). We are honored to have this opportunity to play a part in this move of God.

Gail and I also spent a week teaching at Ambassadors for Christ Bible School. We spoke at their graduation ceremony and sent all 12 students back to their hometown, Kolkata (Calcutta). Most of these are converts from Hinduism and are the first believers in their family. They are returning home with a passion to bring the Gospel.

We have completed our first two of seven Leadership Summits on this trip. More than fifty ministers gathered in Dimapur from all over northeast India for two days of teaching, inspiration and Holy Spirit encouragement. Bob returned from another Relational Gathering in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh where 48 Pastors came together to here the word of God. More Summits in Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam coming up.

The significance of Bible and ministry training combined with a missional zeal is seen in Acts 10:9-10:
“But when some were hardened and did not believe, but spoke evil of the Way before the multitude, [Paul] departed from them and withdrew the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus. And this continued for two years, so that all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.”

Interestingly, Asia was reached back then as it is being reached today – training and sending. Remember, when we can impact one Pastor or church leader, we are reaching the many more who they influence each week. That is multiplication!

Thanks for being here with us in your prayers.
