Through the years I have had many opportunities to pray with women with difficulties conceiving or who have experienced miscarriages. When I was single, and even after Bob and I married, fear was a stronghold in my life concerning pregnancy and childbirth. I knew the answer to all fears are found in the scripture, so I determined to research this area and let God’s Word reveal His will and heart. As a result of that study, there arose a fierceness in my heart to minister to women who are pregnant or trying to conceive. The witness of God’s Word and the power of our covenant position with Him settled within my heart a strong faith in this particular area.
“But you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst. There shall be no one miscarrying or barren in your land;” Ex.23:25-26
“Didn’t the Lord make you one with your wife? In body and spirit you are His. And what does he want? Godly children from your union.” Mal 2:15
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward” Ps 127:3
The Father God is the Father of spirits. He has privileged us to unite with Him in the creation of an eternal being who will remain forever! One blessing of the Old Covenant (and the New) was fertility for God’s people, their herds and flocks.
This is an area I have witnessed so many amazing testimonies.
In 1988, Bob and I were planning a trip to Europe to minister in several churches. As we confirmed our ministry plans, there was one weekend nothing seemed to come together. We determined God must have a reason and we would wait to see what opened once we were in Germany. We were attending a conference in Stuttgart when a Pastor approached me asking if I knew Bob Buse. I told him, “Yes, he’s my husband.” He proceeded to tell me he had wanted to contact us to see if we could come to his church, and did we have any available weekends. We knew that this was the reason our itinerary had one open weekend.
We came to the city where he pastored and learned two churches met in the same building; one congregation was English speaking and the other German. We were told women in both congregations had experienced multiple, consecutive miscarriages. A heaviness hung over the congregations. We took authority over the assault in the realm of the spirit and prayed the blessings of the covenant over them. There were no more miscarriages. Woman began conceiving and giving birth to healthy infants.
Nearly 20 years later, I was speaking at one of the same churches. A couple in the church were trying to have children and she did not conceive. As I ministered to them, I told them by the Spirit of God, the next time I come you will have a baby. I returned the next year and they asked to speak with me. They told me that I was the first to know they were expecting a baby! Later, when I was talking to the Pastor and his wife, remembering our first meeting, he told me no woman in the congregation had miscarried since that first visit 20 years previous! I visited the church the following year and the couple introduced me to their little boy!
I recently received a report from another member of the same church who had not been able to get pregnant. I prayed with her on my last visit. This week I received a picture of her sweet baby girl! Truly God is true to His Word and to His covenant!
“Blessed shall be the offspring of your body and the produce of your ground and the offspring of your beasts, the increase of your herd and the young of your flock.” Deut. 28:4
In January this year, I was in Mexico ministering at a conference and in a local church. In one of the meetings I was asked to pray for the Pastor’s daughter. She had been trying for years to have children with no success. She sent me this image of her good news! She is expecting twins! God is good!
Throughout my 40 years of ministry, I have seen God prove His Word in this area of conception, pregnancy and child birth many times! The signs of fruitfulness and life have consistently followed. Just a few weeks ago I prayed for several women at a church who have been trying to conceive. I just heard from one she is pregnant with her first child! To God be the glory!
